Fifth Annual BaoBao Fest
March 5-8, 2008
Drumming, Dancing, and Storytelling
Presented by Former members of the world-renowned Ghana Dance Ensemble (Ghana 's premier professional dance company) and Abibigromma (resident theater company, University of Ghana, LegonEach year, BaoBao Festival re-enacts the West African tradition of gathering under the Baobab Tree for singing, dancing, drumming and narrative drama (storytelling). The festival is open to everyone in the community to participate in the interactive workshops and to watch the performances. The festival brings together talented performers who were members of professional dance and theater groups in Ghana and other great African performers.
