Musician
Robert Obuobi Ashong is an accomplished guitarist, singer, composer, and percussionist. He is a master of folk highlife music of Ghana. Obuobi represented the National Youth Organizing Commission of Ghana and with them participated in international festivals from Libya to Holland to Moscow. He traveled Europe as a member of Wulomei group, one of the leading cultural groups in Ghana, and was based in Germany for four years with Kalifi Dance Ensemble. For 7 years he toured the U.S., Canada and Australia with the Kusun ensemble. Oboubi is now a solo artist and ready to share his extensive experience with any group that comes his way.

Storyteller
In West Africa a person is not considered truly educated until they learn a series of stories and proverbs designed to teach them healthy ways of living. Many stories follow life system events from cradle to grave, naming, riddles, fables, trickster and dilemma stories, self- esteem, conflict resolution, and cultural identity. Santemu Aakhu has been delighting Denver Metro audiences for 14 years with her storytelling. She is a talented poetess, musician and songstress residing in Denver, Colorado.
Musician
As a young child in Accra, Ghana, Selasee realized his passion for music and understood at this early age how music can affect people. Born and raised in West Africa, Selasee’s pursuit of music eventually led him to Boulder, Colorado, where he currently lives. Selasee’s music is a unique blend of Reggae, West African Highlife and American Pop music. Bright with color, his music threads together English and West African lyrics for a captivating sound. Dancer
Selasi Morgan has performed as a senior dancer with the Ghana Dance Ensemble and National Theater of Ghana, two of Ghana most prestigious dance companies, for over 10 years. He was an assistant teacher at the University of Ghana, Legon, dance department, and has performed at many important political and cultural event including president Obama’s welcome ceremony to Ghana. Now a resident of California, he works with CK Ladzekpo teaching African Dance and drumming at the UC Berkeley and the East Bay School of the Performing Arts.
Singer / Dancer
Vida began dancing at a young age and her natural talent brought her to the prestigious Ghana National Dance Ensemble. She was with the Ghana National Dance Ensemble for 10 years. Vida toured all over the world with the Dance Ensemble and other companies. She later moved to London where she performed and taught for several years. She now resides in New York City and performs as a singer and dancer with the BaoBao Festival each year.
